Lisa Colleen Lancaster, born 6/20/70 at Mountain View, California.

Ladd Ferrell Cluff, born 2/11/71 at Caldwell, Idaho

Amanda Colleen Cluff, born 12/23/96

Ladd and I met on a blind date.  His cousin Kari was my roommate and she showed me a picture of her gorgeous cousin that she wanted to set me up with.  At the time, Ladd was serving in the Army Infantry, stationed in Saudi, Arabia during Desert Storm.  I was working at a bank and being a social butterfly with Kari and all our friends from church.  When the war was over, Ladd was stationed in Germany and then in Georgia, and then honorably discharged.  So he went back home to Payette, Idaho.  We finally got together on our blind date in 1992 and liked each other right away.  He was working in McCall, Idaho for the Forest Service, so our second date was quite awhile after the first.  We dated for a year, including many trips back and forth to Lewiston from Boise while he attended the University of Idaho, and then got engaged in June 1993.  He took me for a drive late one night and proposed to me under a pine tree in Julia Davis Park.  We were married at the Broadway Avenue LDS Church on 9/11/1993.

Ladd worked as a Land Surveyor and I worked in the stock market.  We bought our first house in 1995 and brought our baby daughter home to it in 1996.  Amanda Colleen Cluff arrived two weeks late and two days before Christmas.  And she has been the apple of our eye ever since.

In January 2000, after many years of inactivity on both our parts, Ladd and I started going to church again.  We were sealed as a family on June 10, 2000.  Sooo now we’re stuck with each other. : )

Ladd started his own Engineering and Surveying company in 2006, Elk Mountain Engineering.  He is very happy being his own boss and it has allowed me to finally leave the workforce and be a stay-at-home mom.  I “retired” in May 2007and have been happy as a clam ever since.  What a blessing its been to be a proper wife and mother to these people that I love so much.

I need her parents’ names here

Holly Elizabeth Olsen and Adam Taylor Smith

With daughters: Olivia Alexandra and Ruby Laine Smith

Holly Olsen was born in 1977 in Alexandria, Virginia where she stayed until she was two years old.  Then she and her family moved to Logan, Utah where they stayed.  She grew up loving gymnastics, camping, hiking, etc.  She loved growing up near both sets of grandparents, and appreciated the opportunity to get to know them each week.

She always enjoyed school ever since her mother taught her preschool in the basement of their house.  She attended Hillcrest Elementary School, Mount Logan Middle School, Logan High School (graduated in 1996), Utah State, Montgomery College (Maryland), and Utah State again.  Her undergraduate degree is in Spanish, with an international studies minor.  Her graduate degree is in second language teaching.

After high school, she went to Maryland to be nanny for the same family (with a five-year-old girl) as her older sister, Mandy.  It was a great experience where she gained independence, and learned a lot!  It was there that she decided to serve an LDS mission.  She had the opportunity to go to Minnesota on a Spanish-speaking mission.

One year after her mission she met and married Adam Smith (son of Linda Morse and the late Bryant Smith).  They lived in Logan, working and going to school at the beginning of their marriage.  After graduating, they went on an adventure to Bangkok, Thailand where Holly taught Spanish and Adam did free-lance graphic and web design.  About a year later, Olivia Alexander Smith was born August 13, 2005, and Adam started a business.  Four months after Olivia was born, they moved back to Logan, where Holly finished her graduate degree and Ruby Laine was born (May 23, 2007).

Currently, they are a happy family of four.  Adam’s business has become Advent Creative, and keeps him very busy.  Holly works part-time teaching English at USU and keeps very busy as well.  We recognize how blessed we are and are grateful for so many wonderful experiences and opportunities….and we lived happily ever after!
